Chase Oaks Church’s Childcare Program

Meet Chase Oaks Church
Chase Oaks Church was founded as Fellowship Bible Church North in the early 80s. It became Chase Oaks Church in 2007 and has grown into a multisite ministry that serves the diverse and vibrant community of Plano, Texas. The church is committed to transformation and positive impact, and has become a source of support and comfort for members of its local community.
“Our vision is to inspire people to follow Jesus and together change the world for good,” explained executive pastor Glen Brechner. “We are a church focused on loving and serving the communities we are a part of, and creating environments that make our communities better.”
The church’s current emphasis is on its $20 million Reimagine campaign. This is activating physical spaces to holistically meet community needs and create environments for connection, work, and play. It is transforming the role of the Texas-based church within the wider context of a rapidly changing cultural landscape.
Part of that process has included working with Ministry Solutions Group to pivot the church’s growth strategy in the wake of the pandemic. This led to the opening of the Local Good Center, a multifunctional space that caters to the needs of the wider community. The Local Good Center facilitates ESL classes, supports the immigration process, and houses a clinic, kitchen, and food pantry. One area it doesn’t address is childcare.

Addressing a Childcare Vacuum
The last few years have been marked by reductions in federal funding and childcare subsidies that have severely compromised the larger childcare system. Many churches have seen the need created by staff reductions and the shuttering of childcare programs as an opportunity to serve their communities. Chase Oaks is one of these. Its leadership team saw a need for childcare in the local communities surrounding its campuses and decided to accommodate it.
Unfortunately, this presented the church with a variety of challenges. Some of these were the complexities that come with operating a large church. Other difficulties arose from attempting to set up an effective, high-quality childcare program as a church.
Chase Oaks needed a trusted guide to help them gain an overall picture of their position as a church, how a childcare program could fit into their strategy and finances, and what a clear path forward looked like. They decided to bring Ministry Solutions Group in to help.
The Ministry Solution
Nathan Artt and the Ministry Solutions Group team partnered once again with Chase Oaks’ leadership, this time to find a clear path forward for a new childcare program. The MSG team played a crucial role in the process as Chase Oaks evaluated its opportunities and looked for the best ways to turn its vision into reality.
A key part of the solution was identifying a trusted partner with the experience and vision to operate a high-quality weekday childcare center. Chase Oaks sought a third-party provider that could bring both educational excellence and operational know-how to the table. The goal was a modern preschool environment built on hands-on learning—especially in areas like STEAM—and designed to serve the community throughout the week. All that remained was a ministry partner with the space and shared purpose to make it happen.

An Effective (and Growing) Community Outreach Solution
The partnership facilitated by Ministry Solutions Group has had a significant and ongoing impact on both Chase Oaks and the surrounding community. The church activated its first childcare center on the Legacy campus in June 2024. Its Woodbridge campus followed with a new center opening on April 21, 2025, and plans for a third location at the Sloan Creek campus are in the works.
Throughout the process, Ministry Solutions Group helped Chase Oaks stay focused on the mission. By bringing clarity of vision and consistency in execution, MSG supported the church as it stepped into a new season of outreach—one that is already meeting tangible needs across its local neighborhoods.
"Ministry Solutions is a strategic and trusted partner to help us make wise and effective decisions for the future of Chase Oaks."
